The whole class runs online in a private Telegram group, so you can join from anywhere in Nigeria.

Every morning at 10am a new lesson goes up: a short screen-recorded video, usually under 15 minutes. Then you do the day's task with your own footage and post it. You get feedback the same day.

Your teacher is Ms.Chi, a Nigerian uni student and lifestyle creator. She edits her TikToks in CapCut, and they've picked up 70.1K likes so far. Her best day-in-the-life edit has 44.4K views.

What you'll learn

One skill a day.

By Sunday you'll have a finished reel you edited yourself.

  1. Day 1

    Find your way around

    Import clips, trim, split and put them in order. You'll cut a 30-second video by the end of the lesson.

  2. Day 2

    Cut to music

    Mark the beat and line your cuts up with it. Fix uneven volume so music never drowns out a voice.

  3. Day 3

    Talking-head videos

    Cut out the pauses and "ehms", add auto captions, and lay b-roll over the boring parts.

  4. Day 4

    Text people read

    Titles, captions and stickers sized for a phone screen, with keyframes to move them.

  5. Day 5

    Speed and transitions

    Speed ramps, smooth slow motion, and the two or three transitions worth using. When to leave them out.

  6. Day 6

    Fix dull footage

    Brighten dark clips, correct skin tones, and keep the colour the same from one clip to the next.

  7. Day 7

    Put it all together

    Plan a hook for the first 3 seconds, edit a full reel, and export it in 1080p for TikTok and Instagram.

Do I need the paid version of CapCut?

No. We teach with the free version. If something needs CapCut Pro, we'll show you a free way to get the same result.

What if I miss a day?

That's fine. Every lesson stays in the group, so you can catch up later in the week and still post your task for feedback.

How do I join the Telegram group after paying?

Straight after you pay, you'll get a message with the link to our private Telegram group. Tap it and request to join. We check your name against the list of people who paid, then let you in.

How long is each lesson?

Most are 10 to 15 minutes. The practice task takes about 30 minutes, depending on your footage.

What phone do I need?

Any Android phone or iPhone that runs the latest CapCut. Clear about 2GB of space before Monday so exports don't fail halfway.

How do I pay?
